1stSeptember
2009, West Wickham Pre-School will be known as Daisy Chains
Pre-School, West Wickham. The staff and committee believe it would be
a positive step for the future as it was felt our pre-school would
link more into the local community and ensure it doesn't portray that
our pre-school is open for West Wickham children only. Our
community-based pre-school formerly known as West Wickham Pre-School
was established in 1976 by a small group of parents who thought a
playgroup was needed in the village. Daisy
Chains Pre-School provides a fun, friendly and stimulating place for
children to play and learn together from the age of 2 years up until
school age. We are open every morning during term time from 9.30am
till 12pm in West Wickham’s spacious, safe and secure village hall.
We have a good mixture of children from West Wickham and the surrounding villages of Balsham, West Wratting, Weston Colville, Streetly End and Horseheath.
If
you have an older child, particularly in their pre-school year, we
can offer your child five sessions per week which not all pre-schools
are able to provide. However, it is possible to combine
either pre-schools and/or nurseries so your child can benefit
attending both settings. Some of our children do attend Daisy Chains
and Buttercups in Balsham as both pre-schools feed into The Meadow
Primary School. Children
over the age of 3 years are eligible for Government Funded places.
We also accept employer childcare vouchers
such as Accor and Busy Bees.

Daisy Chains offers your child a safe and secure place to learn with excellent play facilities by fully qualified, OfSTED (Office for Standards in Education), CRB (Criminal Records Bureau) checked staff. A healthy mid-morning snack is also provided.
Daisy Chains is an OFSTED and (no.221766) Charity (charity registration number 1035276) registered pre-school and also is a member of the Pre-School Learning Alliance (PLA).
