Fundraising
Daisy Chain's income is derived from pre-school fees, Early
Years funding from the Government and Fundraising. To
ensure that your child receives the quality of care you would expect,
all income received is allocated to staff salaries, village hall
rental, insurance, toys, equipment and consumerables. Fees
and the Government funding is never quite enough for our
survival. So in the Committee and Staff's never ending quest to
raise funds, we hold a number of events throughout the
year to supplement our income. See below. Easy Fundraising Daisy Chains is registered to Easy Fundraising, a website which allows
you to shop on-line with retailers such as Next, John Lewis, Amazon,
M&S, Toys'R'Us whilst raising funds for Pre-School. This is a

Jumble Sale, 9th May 2009 This was our busiest jumble sale ever where we raised £600 and had around 100 people through our doors. We had so much jumble donated we couldn't sell it all. So thank you to those of you who donated your jumble. Please keep us in mind next year. Approximately
180 people came through our doors to do a bit of Christmas shopping
and to soak up the atmosphere over a cup of tea, coffee, mince pies
and cake. The fair raised over £700 which is the most this
event has ever raised. Thank you to everyone who supported this
event.
Open Coffee
Morning, October 2008 We
held an open coffee morning and raised funds for Children in Need.
Mini-IQ, education books and games for children also had a stand
selling their goodies. As a result from the sales, £60 worth
of books was donated to pre-school. £92.69
was made from donations for the refreshments. All monies raised were donated to Children in Need.
Pre-School
held a Wine Tasting Event at the Meadow School's hall.
Approximately 25 tickets were sold, mainly supported by parents from
the local villages. It
truly was a fun evening where Paul Bowes from Bacchanalia took us
through 10 different types of wine from the very light Prosecco to
the very heavy red wines. By the end of the session, as you can
imagine, we all were extremely happy. Everyone had a thoroughly
good time as we all had some good laughs in between each tasting! The
evening raised £146 which was derived from ticket and wine sales.
Quiz Night, June
2008 Pre-School held a joint Quiz Night with West Wickham' Village Hall Committee. It was virtually a sell out. Total takings were just under £1,000. Once the expenses were accounted for it left just over £450 to be split, half for the Pre-School and the other for the Village Hall Committee. This was a hugely successful night were a good time was had by all.
Our
annual event of selling donated jumble donated by parents and the
local community raised just over £300. All
the proceeds raised through our fundraising events benefit West
Wickham Pre-School ensuring it's survival and most importantly of all,
providing the quality of care for you child you would expect from us. Thank
you everyone for your continued support of West Wickham Pre-School.
